Hmmmm..... to start a blog or not to start a blog. That was the question. I love to read blogs and I often stare at my iPad and think...I could do this. I could write my happenings, musings, feelings and observations for other people to stumble across. But inevitably, three things have stopped me.
1. I am not an expert on anything.
2. I do not find my life particularly extraordinary.
3. WHAT IF NO ONE WANTS TO READ IT?!?!
Well, I have finally let those things go and decided to take the plunge for myself. Here are my three reasons for writing a blog.
1. I am an aspiring expert on many things: teaching, party planning, home organization, ettiquette etc. I have always aspired to become a "guru"... the go-to girl on a given subject, always with the right answer and of course, making it look easy. Well, here is my journey to become an expert at something.
2. I find that the blogs I like most are written my ordinary people doing ordinary things. I think I have some ordinary happenings to throw out there. I am typically so amazed in the honesty, humor, and beauty I find in the blogs that are written by "regular" people. Besides, with my first graders, nothing is ordinary!
3. Who cares if no one reads it? I am writing this a therapy for me, and if someone cares to read along...well that's just fabulous!
